Refund & Return Policy
Refund & Return Policy
Because shipping containers, commercial trailers, and heavy transport equipment are substantial capital assets subject to specialized freight, loading, and transit logistics, returns and refunds are governed by the transparent, fair guidelines outlined below.
1. Mandatory Inspection Upon Delivery (48-Hour Notice Window)
Every customer or authorized on-site recipient must thoroughly inspect the container, trailer, or equipment unit at the time of delivery before signing the carrier's Bill of Lading (BOL) or delivery receipt. • Inspect exterior walls, roof panels, corner castings, doors, locking gear, and marine plywood flooring (for shipping containers). • Inspect structural frames, couplers, safety chains, axles, leaf springs, lighting, and tires (for commercial trailers). • If any defect, transit damage, or specification variance is discovered: 1. Note the specific issue directly on the driver's delivery receipt or Bill of Lading. 2. Take clear high-resolution photographs or video showing the affected area, the overall unit, and the serial/VIN or container number. 3. Contact Global Containers Sales USA within 48 hours of delivery at sales@globalcontainersalesusa.com or +1 707 928 8419.
2. Return Eligibility Window (7 Calendar Days)
Eligible return requests must be formally submitted within 7 calendar days from the date of physical delivery. To qualify for an authorized return: • The unit must be in its original, unmodified, delivered condition. • It must not have been modified, welded, painted, wired, cut, or damaged due to improper post-delivery handling or customer site accidents. • Equipment parts, trailer components, or electrical accessories must be in original packaging and uninstalled. • Prior Written Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) is strictly required. Any unauthorized return shipment sent to our logistics facilities will be refused.
3. Non-Returnable & Final Sale Items
The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable: • Shipping containers that have been delivered, offloaded on-site, and accepted by the customer (due to substantial specialized tilt-bed mobilization and trucking costs). • Custom-fabricated or modified units (including units with installed roll-up doors, custom paint, partition walls, windows, electrical packages, or custom trailer axle configurations). • Units explicitly sold and designated as 'As-Is', 'Clearance', or final sale at the time of purchase. • Electrical components, trailer brake assemblies, or installed replacement parts.
4. Restocking Fees & Freight Responsibility
• Return Due to Company Error or Unresolved Transit Damage: If Global Containers Sales USA dispatched an incorrect unit or confirmed transit damage that occurred prior to delivery and was documented on the Bill of Lading, we will cover 100% of the return freight and issue a full replacement or refund. • Voluntary Returns / Customer Discretion: If a return is accepted for reasons unrelated to our error (e.g., customer ordered incorrect dimensions, changed project plans, or encountered site zoning restrictions): - The customer is responsible for all round-trip freight, mobilization, and carrier offload/reload charges. - A standard restocking and technical inspection fee of 15% to 20% will be deducted from the gross refund to cover depot check-in, crane/forklift staging, and structural recertification.
5. Refund Processing Timelines
Once an authorized return arrives at our designated logistics facility: • Our technical inspection team inspects the unit within 3 to 5 business days to verify condition. • Upon formal approval, your refund is processed back to the original method of payment (credit card, bank ACH, or wire transfer) within 5 to 10 business days. • Depending on your banking institution, funds typically reflect in your account within 2 to 5 additional business days.
